A few months ago we got an email from a potential client (Josh + Lara) asking us to be part of their special day in Belize.
This is our first contact:
...Hey Guys, Wow! You are amazing... the pictures... you’re work... It’s exactly what we’re looking for. My fiance Lara and I are planning a wedding in Belize.... picture it... A white sand beach that crests just above the water not more than a few inches... no trees, no dirt... nothing but sand... water so clear it magnifies the ocean floor for miles around and skies so blue and perfect that the odd cloud only enhances every scene. .. The bride’s shoes are nothing more than a few simple beads wrapped in her perfect feet with only the sand beneath.... The wedding will be simple... a Bride... a Groom... Our 9 month old son... Best Man, Brides Maids, the Mums and Dads and few close friends. A simple exchanges of vows, a toast and off we go.......... to trash the dress.... We have a 46 foot luxury sailboat to take us... and only us (photographer and skipper of course).... off on our adventure... We want to find the most amazing locations to create the most amazing pictures possible and of course....... trash the dress. Our captain can take us anywhere within a few hundred kilometres.... for the four days preceding we plan on exploring the area and exhausting every lead we have to find the most perfect places possible. We have two dresses; both are stunning on my magnificent bride... We’re full of adventure and willing to push boundaries in every direction. We want so bad to capture our special time... especially with your work......- Josh and Lara
Uhh, sign me up!
Needless to say, we jumped on the chance to go out in the unknown with them and shoot this awesome adventure. We drove 4 hours south from Playa del Carmen to Belize and flew into San Pedro on a puddle jumper with our own private charter.
