Just a couple of weeks ago we received a new amazing piece of equipment, a Nauticam Housing for the Canon MarkIII , we are like kids with a new toy, this is so Exciting!!!
Last saturday I was invited by a friend to go diving to Cozumel, since I didn't have a wedding to shoot (sorry Mateo!) I thought It was the perfect opportunity to "baptize" the new baby in the ocean.
My heart beats faster, my whole being feels in a state of trance while underwater... thankfully I had the best dive buddy I could ask for and he was watching over me, while I was mesmerized by the beauty and totally inmerse in learning the new housing, playing with the flash and trying to capture the magic of the underworld.
We have use 3 different brands so far in housings for our cameras, Nauticam is the best I have ever had in my hands.. I'm smiling really BIG!!!

The textures are amazing! I feel like a giant flying over a different world, the sponges are the buildings, all kinds of different houses for all kinds of different creatures living there... wo
We did 3 dives, the first one (and amaaazing!!) I didn't bring down the camera as I had't dive in more that 6 months and it was a deep dive with strong currents getting in and out of caves.. so I was a little nervous about first being able to have a good dive... I did great... except at the end when I went up to fast... oops!! My dive buddy almost had a hearth attack... I managed to came back down to continue the decompression..., I was ready to bring the camera to the second dive.
All this images are with the 35 mm lens, I decided that my next photo-dive adventure will be with a macro and in a place with less current, so I can stay in place and photograph the tinny little creatures all around., it is really incredible! everywhere you look, every inch .. there is life...
This is the largest eel I have ever seen..., it really made me kick my fins really fast (of course after taking her picture!)

After this amazing experience diving in the big blue waters of Cozumel, I promised my self to dive more, It is one of the most magical experiences ever! I LOVE LOVE the underworld . SOL ... mermaid from the hearth
